Welcome Colleagues!
Below you will find information and paperwork to assist you in your role of supporting QUT preservice teachers on field experience. Your assistance during this important time in their professional development is invaluable to our students and greatly appreciated by the FEO. If you have a queries please contact us. University Liaison Lecturer Role:
As a University Liaison Academic it is important to:
- Ensure contact your numbers and/or email address have been exchanged with site administrators, supervising teachers and with your students;
- Speak with your students prior to the beginning of field experience and be available for consultation by telephone or email at least 3 times during the duration of the field experience;
- Establish a telephone or email link with the site (and your students' host teachers) early in the field experience;
- Provide written or verbal feedback to the preservice teacher as required;
- Discuss interim progress with both the supervising teacher and student teacher.
